LAURA ANDREINI
Founding partner of Studio Archea, in 1990 she graduated from the architecture faculty of Florence, where she completed her Ph.D. in 1997 with a thesis titled “The permanence of the concept of proportion from Renaissance to Modernism through the model of the Florentine mansion” with Antonio D’Auria as thesis advisor. She has conducted activities as researcher in architectural design and town planning at the University of Florence since 1999.
She is currently professor of the “Architecture Planning Workshop I” course for graduate students in Architectural Sciences at the University of Florence.
In addition to her activities as architect and teacher, she has carried out an intense work of in-depth research and critical reflection within the context of architectural design. In January 2003 she was appointed vice chief editor of the magazine Area, published by Motta Architettura of the Sole 24 Ore group, after working as editor of the magazine since 1997.
