The Tirana Garden Building is a residential and commercial complex located in the heart of Tirana along Rruga Kavajes, just 1.4 km from Sk\u00ebnderbej, one of the city’s main squares. Due to its strategic location, size and distinctive shape, it stands as a new urban landmark for the Albanian capital.<\/p>\n
More than 40,000 m\u00b2 contains commercial spaces and residences of various types. Two towers, 23 and 27 stories respectively, are connected by a two-story high multipurpose basement that houses stores, offices, a mall and a common space accessible to all. The large overhang of the east tower transposes twenty luxury penthouses. Four basement levels house parking for more than 400 cars.<\/p>\n
The entire volume is wrapped in a grid of random mullions and transoms, made of earth-red pigmented concrete. The fa\u00e7ade system integrates large planters that allow the installation of diffuse greenery that unifies the overall image, where the rhythm of the modules and the type of essences give rise to heterogeneous colors and textures.<\/p>\n
The design proposal gives a contemporary look to the urban area, and the entire green grid improves its living standards as it retains an environmentally friendly approach from an architectural point of view. The green walls and fa\u00e7ades significantly reduce temperatures during the summer months by directly shading the building surface.
