The renovation work of the swimming pool located on the rooftop of the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte, stems from the need to renovate the old pre-existing area.<\/p>\n
The pool, entirely clad in stoneware with “Calacatta” marble pattern, is accessed through two staircases placed on the side. It has a profile called “Infinity pool” that is concealed. The entire flooring, which is covered with Teak wood, manages to create a harmonious contrast with the surrounding landscape.<\/p>\n
At the intersection of the two sides of the building is the wayside shrine, which is completely covered in marble of Brazilian origin declined in a “blue” texture (Azul Macauba) that simulates the “sky” effect, almost annulling its presence.<\/p>\n
As a reference to the old kiosk, 3 large fountains made of satin-finished stainless steel have been included that are turned on during the evening hours along with a new lighting system. The spectacular effect achieved succeeds in emphasizing both the setting of the fountain and the splendid view of the Versilia seascape. Below and in front of the kiosk are two semicircular “massage benches,” while the two side arms house \u2013 at the pool access areas \u2013\u00a0various hydrotherapy beds.<\/p>\n
On either side of the aedicule is placed, respectively, a parapet made entirely of extra-clear low-iron glass with a concealed profile. The glass consists of a single piece per elevation: one 16 and the other 19 meters in length, making it one of the longest in Europe.
