The intervention proposes the integral replacement of the former school building, now obsolete, with a new architecture conceived as a civic infrastructure, capable of accommodating and integrating educational, sports and community functions. The building is configured as a compact and transparent volume, in which the relationship between interior and exterior is interpreted through a glazed envelope with high visual permeability. The architectural “box” opens to the city and offers itself as a new urban landmark, highlighting the desire to establish a continuous dialogue with the context. The functional distribution is developed according to a layered logic: the ground floor houses the main independent entrance and reception spaces; the second-floor houses classrooms and one of two gyms, while the second level houses specialized laboratories. A significant part of the complex – including the basement and a sports space – is designed for extended use by citizens, encouraging openness and sharing with the neighborhood. The extensive and projecting roof system generates outdoor, covered and usable threshold spaces designed as functional extensions of the school. These hybrid environments between architecture and landscape are configured as areas for play, physical activity and social gathering, reinterpreting the traditional concept of the schoolyard. Architecture thus takes on the role of an inclusive urban device: a flexible, sustainable and porous organism that acts as a relational platform for the community, restoring to the neighborhood not just a school, but a civic, educational and sporting place.

[2111
1762,1750
1853
2195
1316
post-79466","progetto","type-progetto","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","anno-2111","luogo-florence","luogo-italy","programma-school","cliente-cassa-di-risparmio-di-firenze","tipologia_progetto-architecture
["GET
