On October 30, 2026, the Alban Tower project (also known as the Forever Green Tower) received public recognition at the 2025 Albanian Architecture Awards—Public Vote for Favorite Skyscraper—standing out among the architectural projects that are transforming the skyline of the Albanian capital.
The award follows an initiative launched in 2025 by FABER—Forum for Active Built Environment Research—which invited the public to share their views on the evolution of Tirana’s urban landscape. The survey featured 24 towers—whether completed, under construction, or in the planning stages—and garnered a total of 3,786 individual votes, including both positive and negative preferences.
The recognition earned through public voting offers an opportunity to reflect on the relationship between contemporary architecture and the collective perception of urban transformation. In a city like Tirana, whose skyline is undergoing profound changes, Alban Tower contributes to the debate on the role of high-rise architecture and its ability to engage with the history, identity, and structure of the urban context.
