Position: Architect for “Area” Editorial Team

Location: Florence, Italy

Contract: Collaboration

Availability: Immediate or to be agreed upon

For the editorial staff of AREA magazine, in collaboration with Archea Associati, we are seeking an Editor to join the editorial team. The ideal candidate has a background in architecture, with a particular interest in the history of architecture, design, and design culture, and has at least 2–3 years of experience in publishing, editorial work, or communications within the industry.

The role involves work for both the print and online editions: writing and authoring articles for the digital platform, researching and editing content for the print magazine, as well as page layout and design management.
The candidate will also be responsible for liaising with Italian and international architecture firms and professionals, including in English, and will assist in organizing launches, presentations, and events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field;
• At least 2–3 years of experience;
• Excellent writing, research, and editing skills;
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
• Good command of English;
• Attention to detail, independence, and strong organizational skills;
• Interest in architecture, design, and contemporary culture.
• Knowledge of other foreign languages will be considered a plus.
