Job description

We are looking for a Specialist in Commercial Contracts and Customer and Supplier Relations to support our sales department. This role focuses on preparing commercial proposals, negotiating contracts, and building strong relationships with customers and suppliers throughout the entire project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing project proposals and contracts, a thorough understanding of the stages of architectural projects, and the ability to manage supplier relationships, including defining their scope of work. A legal background with strong commercial and administrative skills is essential.

Responsibilities

● Proposal development
● Prepare and refine commercial proposals and customized financial offers based on customer needs and project objectives.
● Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are aligned with project phases and deliverables.
● Supplier proposals and scope of work
● Develop and manage supplier proposals to ensure alignment with project requirements.
● Define and oversee the scope of work for suppliers, ensuring their products meet quality and timing expectations.
● Negotiate supplier terms and ensure contracts are in line with project objectives and budgets.
● Contract management
● Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers for architectural and design development.
● Ensure that contracts reflect the scope of the project, the phases, and all legal and financial implications.
● Monitor compliance with contractual obligations for both clients and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
● Leadership in negotiations
● Lead negotiation processes with clients and suppliers, balancing the interests of the firm with effective collaboration.
● Resolve any contractual disputes promptly and effectively.
● Client and supplier relationship management:
● Maintain constant communication with clients during project development and execution, providing updates and resolving any issues.
● Cultivating strong relationships with suppliers to ensure their integration into project workflows.
● Project phase coordination
● Analyzing and understanding the architectural phases of the project to ensure that all commercial and contractual elements are aligned with the necessary requirements in their complexity.
● Collaborating with internal teams to translate project requirements into actionable contracts and proposals.
● Risk mitigation
● Identify and address risks in customer proposals, supplier agreements, and contracts.
● Ensure compliance with all legal and financial standards.

Requirements

● Law degree, with a solid foundation in commercial or administrative disciplines.
● At least 3 years of experience in an architecture firm, engineering firm, or related field.
● Proven ability to manage project proposals for clients and suppliers and to define and supervise the scope of work for suppliers.

Skills

● In-depth knowledge of the phases of an architectural project and their commercial and legal complexities.
● Knowledge of professional and legal English (written and spoken); additional language skills, such as Italian or French, are a plus.
● Strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.
● Familiarity with contract management tools and standard software applications.

Soft Skills

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for roles involving contact with customers and suppliers.
● High attention to detail and precision in managing complex documentation.
