On September 25, 2026, at the Pala ITLAS Godega Fiere in Treviso, HEARTHNESS took place—an event organized by ITLAS and dedicated to the relationship between architecture, materials, nature, and the quality of living.

Among the event’s key participants was architect Marco Casamonti, who contributed to a discussion focused on the value of materials and the role of design in shaping contemporary spaces.

The theme of HEARTHNESS—understood as the ability to feel at home, in relation to the spaces we inhabit and the materials from which they take shape—is linked to research that has characterized the work of Archea Associati and its collaboration with ITLAS for years. Wood, in fact, is not considered merely as a building material or a finishing element, but as a material capable of connecting architecture, the environment, memory, and perception.

The collaboration between Archea Associati and ITLAS represents a long-standing partnership, born from a desire to explore new ways of interpreting wood through architecture and design. From the “I Massivi” collection to the design of the new ITLAS production facility, the relationship between design and material has given rise to a shared exploration rooted in highlighting the natural qualities of wood and the possibilities for its transformation.

Marco Casamonti’s participation in HEARTHNESS is therefore part of this ongoing dialogue between design culture and corporate culture, reaffirming the importance of design that engages with the material in a mindful way and restores to spaces a dimension authentically connected to the place, the environment, and the experience of living.
