The project involves the construction of the new VVIP International Terminal to serve the adjacent airport, which is being expanded in preparation for the 2027 APEC conference to be held on Phú Quốc Island. The goal is to create a highly prestigious infrastructure capable of welcoming international delegations and becoming a new symbol of the region’s identity and growth ambitions.

The architecture draws inspiration from the sea eagle, a fish deeply connected to the island’s marine environment. Its light, elegant, and dynamic forms also evoke the movement of flight, creating a natural dialogue between the marine and aerial landscapes. The roof thus becomes the project’s defining feature: an iconic, instantly recognizable architectural gesture that conveys openness, innovation, and a forward-looking vision.

Drawing inspiration from this marine animal, the project aims to convey strength, vision, and freedom—values that aptly represent the terminal’s international role and the image that Phú Quốc intends to project during APEC 2027. The roof’s configuration is not driven solely by formal considerations but also stems from structural requirements.
