“The project of the Viola Park Rocco B. Commisso was born from the desire of the presidency of the Company to create something unique, original and exceptional. The task was undoubtedly facilitated by the beauty of the area they acquired as well as the historical value that this area has always had towards the city of Florence. It should be remembered that the course of the work was anticipated by a challenging campaign of archaeological excavations that led to the discovery of a Roman road, datable between the 8th century B.c. and the 14th century A.d., that led to the Arno River.”
