The Antinori Winery is the only project in Italy to be selected by the large international committee that chose the most significant five projects in Europe as finalists for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award. The Mies van der Rohe Award, the highest award in European architecture, is a Prize given biennially by the European Union and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe.
